Quality job searching is hard. I built JobKompass to make it less stressful and faster, for me first, and now for anyone who wants volume and tailored applications. I’ve rebuilt this app three times. Each version grew with my skills and with what I actually needed: v1 was a dashboard to store everything and see my interview rates and follow-ups; v2 added more; v3 is the one that finally tackles my real pain, tracking jobs, learning from my search, and tailoring resumes and cover letters to each role without the grind. Every other tool I tried fell short. Generic AI couldn’t use my template. So I built a place where my templates and AI work together: LaTeX-based layouts, clean output, and the ability to refine in chat and get advice tied to the role. JobKompass is for the “lazy” job searcher, the one who knows you need volume in this market but also wants precision. We’re built for both: one place to track jobs and generate polished, tailored resumes and cover letters in your style. What makes us different under the hood: we run our own LaTeX API so AI can produce real, formatted resumes (not just markdown). You get consistent templates, edit in chat, and keep improving with context about the role. I haven’t found another service that did that in a way that felt convenient and flexible. We just got to a place that feels usable. I’m literally telling my mom tomorrow, she was my biggest user in the earlier versions. If you’re job searching and want less chaos and more tailored docs, I’d love for you to try it and tell me what would make it better.
