Hey everyone! I built OffLingua after getting frustrated with translation apps while traveling. Two problems kept annoying me: No signal = no translation. Google Translate's offline mode is limited, and I kept hitting moments where I had no connectivity, rural areas, underground metros, remote villages. iOS Translator is limited. Robotic translations. Even when it worked, the output sounded unnatural. Word-by-word translation without understanding context. Locals would look confused or laugh. So I built something different: using a proper AI model that runs entirely on your phone. It understands context, produces natural-sounding translations, and works completely offline. Added camera translation (using Apple Vision) for signs and menus, and voice input for conversations. 55 languages. No internet. No data leaving your device.
