Stop paying monthly rent for AI. Pay-as-you-go!

Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I’m Andreas, a Project Manager by day & trade, in my free-time a game dev and creative technologist. I built KidBooks.pics to solve a frustration my wife had with almost every AI tool on the market: Subscription Fatigue & inconsistent art style.
As a creator, and writer she hated signing up for a "Pro" monthly plan just to generate images for a weekend project, only to forget to cancel and get billed for months I didn't use.
I also found that while Midjourney and others are amazing, they struggle with Style Consistency: the #1 thing you need when illustrating a children's book.
So I built the alternative:
🚫 No Subscriptions: Strictly pay-as-you-go. Buy a pack of credits, and they never expire.
📖 Style-First: The models are tuned to keep your art style looking the same from Page 1 to Page 20. Make sure to use reference images for characters & scenes to enhance every result!
✨ Minimalism: No complex prompt engineering required, the interface guides you along the way!
The Launch Offer: I’ve set up the system so everyone gets 3 Free Credits immediately upon signup (no credit card required).
I’d love your feedback on:
Does the "Pay-As-You-Go" model ($5 for 40 images) feel fairer to you than a monthly sub?
How does the character consistency hold up for your story ideas? (Note: I'm still working on additional features to focus on a 'Character Library')
Thanks for checking it out! I’ll be hanging out in the comments all day!
