Takt

The first AI with social skills

Takt is the first AI with social skills. It’s a participant, not a tool. It reads the room, has opinions, and isn’t afraid to share them. Talk to it privately without anyone knowing, then jump back in with the perfect response. Choose your vibe: casual, professional, or completely unfiltered. No corporate guardrails.

Hey Product Hunt! I’m Gabby. I built Takt with my SO because of a messy fight the night before a trans-atlantic trip. We weren’t together, and he was spinning his wheels with Claude, trying to process the argument. I hopped into our shared account and laid out my side of things. He didn’t see my messages at first- he just saw Claude’s replies getting weird. He refreshed the page and realized: We were arguing through the AI. The UX was a nightmare (literally refreshing to see each other’s texts), but the outcome was magic. The AI acted as a mediator, de-escalating the fight and helping us find a path forward. We realized: AI shouldn’t just be a tool you prompt alone. It should be a presence in the room. What makes Takt different: 1. A Real Participant – It reads the room and jumps in naturally. It doesn’t wait for tasks; it hangs out. But crucially, it knows when to stay quiet. 2. Adaptable Utility – It’s not just a chat bot. It adapts to the need: a mediator for conflicts, a strategist for work, a roaster when things get boring, or just a friend who listens. 3. Private Mode – This is the game changer. Sidebar with the AI without the group seeing. Get the answer or advice you need without leaving the chat. Most AI sounds like it’s trying not to get fired. Takt sounds like someone who showed up, read the room, and decided to stay. The app is free on iOS (Android coming soon). We’d love to hear: what’s the first group chat you’re adding this to? P.S. This entire launch post? We wrote it right here in Takt, arguing with the AI about the copy until it was perfect. It works.
