Hello all! I'm Thomas, and I built DreamOn because I was tired of losing dreams that could have valuable teachings and insights all because typing or voice memo recording feels too cumbersome at night. Here's the problem I faced: You wake up at 3am with this incredible (or disturbing, I ain't judging) dream. You think "I'll remember this." You don't. I don't. Within 60 seconds, it's gone forever. Every dream journal I tried required too much friction: unlock, open app, type, squint at bright screen, tags, categories, blah. By the time I'm ready to write, the dream has evaporated. So I built what I actually needed: •Tap once from Lock Screen (works with Action Button too on iPhone!) Android coming soon. • Screen auto-dims so you don't get blasted with bright lights • Just whisper and go back to sleep • After automatic silence detection, a soft "ping" confirms → dream captured and transcribed automatically The AI stuff (art + insights) came later. But the core UX: recording half-asleep without waking up and having it transcribed in the background that's the real innovation I was going for.
