I’m Cristian, the solo maker behind Movens.
I built this app because I was frustrated with the current state of travel tools. I hated standing at the gate frantically searching for a PDF ticket in my emails, or worrying about my data being sold by "free" itinerary apps.
I wanted something that felt like a native part of iOS, fast, private, and completely offline.
Movens turns your Lock Screen into a real travel dashboard. You can see your Airbnb codes, seat number, or distance to destination at a glance.
It’s also flexible enough for the little things, you can spin up a Live Activity just to keep a specific note visible, like the parking spot level you swear you’ll remember but definitely won’t, making sure it’s impossible to miss without even unlocking your phone.

The offline, account-free “travel wallet” + Live Activities/Dynamic Island surfacing (gate codes, seats, PDFs) is exactly the iOS-native unlock 👏 The scale pain is getting reliable ingestion without turning into another data-harvesting TripIt, and the best-practice path is on-device parsing (Mail/Safari share sheet → PDF/text extract) with a deterministic field schema + local-only rules/LLM fallback and user-confirmed autofill. Are you planning an opt-in import pipeline (share extension + inbox watcher) that stays fully offline, or will you offer a privacy-preserving cloud option later?

I haven't looked into the ingestion aspect of the application in order to import travel information into the application, but I think that what you said with the on-device parsing + local LLM fallback is a great option. I will have to look into it as I understand that this feature is important, along with the realtime flight status updates. I hope to be able to integrate them in the next updates!
@cristianton If it’s useful, I can put together a concrete ingestion blueprint you can implement quickly: Share Extension entry points, PDFKit/text extraction, a deterministic field schema, and a confirm-fields UI to keep accuracy high.
For realtime status, I’d separate it as an opt-in module with minimal identifiers + local caching.

Clean concept,having travel info right on the lock screen is actually useful.
One small moment in the first-time setup made me pause (permissions / import side), which new users might feel too.

Currently the app is not synced to the wallet or calendar, but this indeed sounds really useful to have, I will look into it, thank you for this idea!

I've been waiting for someone to come for Concur/Tripit. They stopped developing like 5+ years ago, and it seems like such low-hanging fruit. Unfortunately, I can't actually tell if this is a viable alternative because there is no mention of how it ingests and parses information, and there's no free trial to see for yourself.

Thank you for your comment, @paulgeller . As of right now, you have to add all of the information that you want to appear on the live activity. There is no parsing, give as much info as you want to see on the live activity. As for the free trial, I'm thinking that I will add one when I will add other features too, thanks for pointing that out!

@cristianton Thanks for replying! Any plans for an ingestion engine? I imagine with the state of LLMs it's easier than ever and Concur/Tripit is really a sitting duck. Literally no innovation i a decade and yet I still pay $50/year

Love the Live Activities for static info (door codes are a perfect use case). But regarding "completely offline": does this mean there are no flight status updates? If my gate changes or the flight is delayed, I'm guessing the Lock Screen widget won't reflect that? That's usually the killer feature for travel apps like Flighty.
