Datost

Give Claude Code your entire stack. Free.

Free desktop app that gives Claude Code access to your databases, logs, and code. Ask "Why did this payment fail?" and get an answer in 30 seconds with clickable links to the exact database rows, Datadog logs, and lines of code. Unlike ChatGPT, every answer shows its sources. Proof you can share with your team. Safe by design: Read-only queries, row limits, no DDL. No Datost servers. Your credentials stay on your machine encrypted in keychain.

Maceo Cardinale Kwik

Hey Product Hunt! 👋

I'm Maceo, and I built Datost because debugging production issues was eating up too much of my time.

The problem: When something breaks, you're jumping between your database, Datadog, Sentry, and GitHub, copy-pasting IDs, running queries, searching logs. It takes forever to connect the dots.

The solution: Datost lets you ask Claude Code questions across all of these at once. "Why did this user's payment fail?" → 30 seconds later you have an answer with clickable links to the actual database rows, log entries, and code lines. No more worrying about hallucinations.

What makes it different: Unlike ChatGPT or Copilot, you see exactly what data the AI used. No "trust me" answers, real proof you can share with your team.

Why free? The local version is free forever. Your credentials stay on your machine, and your data only goes to Claude—never to our servers. I'm building a cloud version for teams later, but the core tool will always be free.

Would love your feedback. What integrations would you want to see next?

Congratulations on the Datost launch. Turning complex developer workflows into seamless AI-assisted coding experiences feels incredibly empowering. The simplicity and speed of generating and exploring code looks very impressive. Wishing the team a great launch day.
