I’m the Product Lead at Indigenius AI. In my experience managing enterprise products across Africa, I’ve seen a consistent friction point: Voice AI infrastructure "breaks" the moment it hits the local user.
Global models treat languages like Igbo, Yoruba, and Hausa, and even Nigerian Pidgin, spoken by 120M+ people, as "background noise" or errors. This results in high friction and failed automations.
As a product team, we didn’t want to build just another wrapper. We built a proprietary engine. Our ASR (Speech-to-Text) and TTS (Text-to-Speech) models are trained on thousands of hours of localized linguistic data to solve for the specific tonal nuances that global giants ignore.
