XTranslate is your personal Japanese interpreter supporting 13 languages. Real-time voice interpretation for conversations with Japanese people. Supports English, Korean, Chinese, Thai, Indonesian, Filipino, Hindi, Urdu, Malay, Turkish, and Arabic.
Living here in Japan and not knowing Japanese is a challenge I face everyday here. While standard translation apps are good, they do not offer realtime interpretation experience.
With the release of realtime LLMs, I decided to build a smooth experience for myself. However; using this app myself, it felt as if I had an interpreter with me. I used it in the ward office to communicate with officers. I used this app to ask for a document from my HR. I also use it in supermarkets to find something I looking for by asking the staff.
Given this became my go to app in my daily life, I decided to make it a public app. After multiple iterations and testing, the app is ready for public use. I would love everyone living/visiting Japan to try this app and share your feedback.
