Integrity Index

Hi there! I'm a YC alum and political tech professional. After a few years in politics, it became abundantly clear to me that the majority of Americans see politics as too corrupt to be worth their time. To some degree, they're right. American politics has been consumed by legalized corruption. Every year, millions of dollars flow freely from companies, lobbyists, and billionaire donors directly to politicians' pockets. That's why Nico (@stocking_the_capitol on IG) and I wanted to see if we could build a tool to hold politicians accountable to the people - the Integrity Index. The Integrity Index is a political finance database that grades politicians on their financial and political integrity. We reward politicians who stand for their constituents rather than the people who can pay them the most and shame those who take corporate PAC money, hold individual stocks, and raise most of their money from wealthy and out-of-state donors. You can see what stocks your member holds, who funds their campaigns, and whether they support anti-corruption bills. We're planning to add candidates, competitive races, lobbying data, and more over the next few months. Let us know what you think!
