Hello Product Hunt! πŸ‘‹ I’m Sirin, one of the makers behind pipeRead. We’ve all been there: You finish a great book, and then... you spend 2 hours scrolling through lists trying to find the next one. We call it "Reader's Block." We built pipeRead to fix that. It’s an AI-assisted librarian that helps you discover your next read based on specific personas and moods. Why did we build this? We wanted a tool that feels like asking a knowledgeable friend, not a database. AI-Powered: It uses smart personas to match books to you. Friendly: Unlike the stereotype, this librarian is never grumpy! Always Free: We built this for the community. No paywalls, just books. We are live today to show our product to the world and, most importantly, to learn from you. Please give it a spin at https://piperead.com and let us know: Did it find a book you actually want to read? We'll be hanging out in the comments all day to answer questions! Happy Reading! πŸ“š

Fun tagline πŸ˜‚ TBH. I feel librarians are more like security guards these days, making sure the kids behave. Everyone on their laptops. Question: Can I connect this to my goodreads account somehow? It has all my books that I have read in the past. Thanks

Murat Levent

@sentry_coΒ Haha, so glad the tagline made you smile! πŸ˜‚ Regarding Goodreads: We don't have that just yet, but I absolutely love the idea! πŸ’‘ It’s such a great suggestion that I’m moving it to the top of my to-do list right away. Thanks so much for the inspiration!

Congrats! Quick question- does it support recommending new books from the past month?

Murat Levent

@zhiqi_shiΒ Hey, Zhiqi thanks for the support! πŸ‘‹ I'm the co-maker here. Great question! Currently, we are constrained by some API limits, so we can't support date specific recommendations just yet. However, we've noted this down and plan to solve it in future updates!

@muratleventΒ Haha, great! This feature is important to me, Wish you luck!

Really like the persona-based approach. It feels a lot more tailored than genre filters. Does the system learn from previous picks over time?

@zi_wooΒ I am happy to hear that you like persona-based approach. Yes, it learns. Also we have an incognito setting that the reader could be make a fresh search.

@sirinnesΒ Thanks for the info! Cool to know the recommendations get sharper the more I use it.

I like the idea of discovery feeling more like a recommendation from a friend than scrolling endless lists.
