I'm Rasmus, founder of Prometora.
I've built 4 online marketplaces myself, and I run a YouTube channel focused on marketplace building.
I kept seeing non-technical founders struggle to launch marketplaces, even with no-code tools. Nice — the 'built-in system pages so people don't forget what a marketplace actually needs' framing is sharp. I'm a researcher studying where non-technical founders get stuck turning an idea into a real product, and your whole pitch is basically that observation. Genuinely curious: before you added those system pages, what was the single most common thing your early users tried to build and just... couldn't? Was it the two-sided listing flow, payments, or something earlier like just not knowing what to ask the AI for? Would love to compare what you're seeing with what I'm hearing.
Smart idea! Creating an entire app from a prompt is neat, but as a layman, it's quite easy to forget (or not know) what features that a marketplace app must have – so this really mitigates that risk. I wonder what other general app ideas could do with that type of framework?

And you’re right: most people don’t know all the features a real marketplace needs, so the structure helps remove that uncertainty. That's the idea behind Prometora - so you get best of both world (Prompting + some structure).
This same approach could definitely apply to other types of apps too. For example:
- E-commerce stores (single-seller), Auction platforms, Booking & appointment apps, Membership/subscription platforms, etc
Marketplaces were the best starting point because they are super complex , but Prometora can absolutely expand into other app types over time.
@rasmus_sorensen I like the idea of using this for creating bespoke booking apps – probably a much more common use case for the typical SME – which could be built and put into real word use immediately. Whereas marketplaces are real tough not only to build but also to get started and operate.

maybe i’m missing something here, but what anyone need to create a marketplace? sounds like creating a social network

@daniel_chepenko Hi Dany , there are many marketplace founders out there with ideas, but struggling with actually building it.
Also, a marketplace is not like a social network. It can sound similar on the surface, but creating a marketplace is very different from creating a social network.
A marketplace needs a lot of functionality that’s specific to enabling transactions between buyers and sellers, such as:
-Listing creation
-Search + filters
-Messaging between users
-Booking or purchasing flows
-Payments + payouts (e.g., Stripe Connect)
-Reviews, disputes, availability calendars, etc.
-and many more.
A social network is mainly about user-generated content and connections, while a marketplace needs the entire infrastructure behind it.
@rasmus_sorensen love how you keep your UI simple, who would you point out to benefit the most from the platform? Like a target audience and use cases

The people who benefit the most from the platform are marketplace founders , anyone who has an idea for a marketplace (think Airbnb, Rover, etc.) and wants to get it up and running quickly without spending months on development.
I wanted to love this... however it's a bit deceptive that I can type my prompt but then need a subscription without knowing if this site will work. There's plenty of other sites like this (not as niche) like Base44 where I can generate a working website for anything with a lot of free prompts. Hope all the best anyhow!

Yes, because those are part of the "system pages", so they aren’t generated from prompts.
For payments, the platform uses Stripe / Stripe Connect, and for authentication it uses Clerk. Both handle the sensitive parts on their end and follow industry-standard security practices.
