The magic is in the synthesis of its tech stack: It’s a Discovery Engine (not just a scanner): Instead of using rigid stock screeners, AIvestor uses the Perplexity AI API to scan the web for ideas and narratives, the way a human analyst would. You can ask, "find me small-cap stocks in the renewable energy space with new patents." It’s an Analyst (not just a data table): When you ask to "analyze {ticker}," it doesn't just give you a table of P/E ratios. It fetches deep financial data from QuantiQ.live and feeds it to GPT-5 to generate a human-like BUY, SELL, or SHORT recommendation with a full justification. It's an "Alpha" Hunter: This is what I love. You can ask, "check house and senate trades for NVDA" and it will instantly pull that data from QuantiQ. It also checks social sentiment and Google Trends to see what the crowd is thinking. It’s a Trader (a closed loop): This is the key. Getting all these powerful, specialized APIs, Perplexity, GPT-5, QuantiQ, and Alpaca, to "talk" to each other and work seamlessly within a simple Streamlit chat interface was a huge challenge.
