Hey all,
I built an app called Friday, an AI that helps you process your day and build a self-reflection habit through a short call everyday.
For years, I've known I should be journaling. Everyone talks about the benefits: mental clarity, processing your thoughts, personal growth, etc.
But after a long day, the last thing I want to do is stare at a screen and type out my feelings. Other AI journal apps were better but still the habit never stuck for more than a few days.
So I thought, what's the lowest-friction way to get thoughts out of my head? Talking. Friday asks you a few insightful questions about your day, and you just talk. It then structures your thoughts for you.
If you’ve ever struggled with journaling or want to build more self-reflection into your routine, I’d love for you to try it and let me know what you think.
This is still very much an early product, so your feedback means a ton. Feel free to drop thoughts here!
You should have launched that on a Friday and not on a Saturday 😅 All joking aside, I like the clear, simple design and it's intuitive to use. Keep up the good work, I'm already impressed! @minjae_so
I like what Friday 8 is going for: making that end-of-week wrap-up or planning moment feel less “oh no, another to-do list” and more “okay, let’s actually finish strong”.
@ansh_deb exactly! it usually takes few minutes to finish the call but you can do longer if you want to talk more. and yes, AI remembers your previous conversation so it understands you more deeply over time
👏 Bravo dude. Have you thought about not structuring too?
Sometimes just voicing things can be cathartic enough for some people.
You could still allow for memory of the messages, so they could be referenced by the AI. Just not catalogued.
It's rare for some to not go back through a physical journal. Maybe the same could be useful here?
@minjae_so all good dude. A similar idea flew past me a month or so ago. I cuddled it for a bit and then let it fly away.
You clearly went and built the thing. Well done. Happy to connect to share my thoughts when I had it in my hands.

Love the angle. Journaling always felt like work, but talking is natural, easy and interesting too. Cool launch, congrats!

Imagine how cool it would be if you really launched on Friday! :D But love the idea.
P.S. Try to make the web scrollable because I cannot scroll atm and see the whole page :)

The "talking > typing" insight for journaling is spot on.
After a long day, the last thing I want is another screen. Voice makes so much more sense.
How long are the typical calls? And does the AI adapt its questions based on previous conversations?
Good luck with the launch! 🚀
