Gentility - magic MCP into your data

Hi there! I'm James, software engineer, and gentility is my side project. Gentility is a play on words - "agent utility". I've been getting steadily more excited about AI for 18 months, and coming to believe that "the LLM is the product" - just give it the tools and the data they need, and they will blow you away. The tools I've built internally at organizations have been wildly impressive if we can only give the LLM the data it needs - but this has been hard to deliver for non-developers. Gentility is my attempt to solve this, and to bring this capability into the hands of everyone. It's going to be the most useful for people who have servers they might want to query, or DBs with data they might want insights about. But you can also just install it in your macbook and ask your LLM questions about it. You might be surprised just how smart the LLM can be for server operations, troubleshooting and the like. And Claude and ChatGPT's visualization of its DB query results is amazing. ChatGPT support is very much experimental for now. It works, sort of, but it's very flakey (this is on OpenAI, not us). Claude is reliable. You'll need their Plus or Pro plans to access MCP connectors in the AI accounts - I hope they relax this some day. Regardless, for personal use Gentility will always be free so please feel free to play around and we'll keep trying to get ChatGPT support into a better state. I'd love your feedback and suggestions.
