Presented byFramer 3.0Your bot got a laptop
gm legends, happy Wednesday.
Agents that log in and get on with it, a $250 a month tool somebody just gave away, and a Mac app for two very specific monitors. Plus the moment a forum thread stops being two people talking.
Just tell it to go

Grok Bot is xAI's team of AI coworkers, each with its own cloud computer. They sign into your tools, use them like you would, and come back when the job's done. Bundled into SuperGrok Heavy, not sold on its own.
🔥 Our Take: There's something genuinely great about telling a bot to go do the thing and not having to build a workflow first. You message it like a coworker, it goes off on its own machine in the cloud, works in your real tools, and pings you when it needs a yes. And since xAI has it using the software instead of an API, it doesn't care that your finance system is from 2011 and nobody ever built a connector for it, which is honestly the most useful part.
The $250 cron job

Lettertrace counts how often Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini mention your company. Mathew Pregasen shipped it MIT licensed, your own API key does the work, and there's no paid tier at all.
🔥 Our Take: Pregasen said the quiet part out loud: the tools charging $250 a month to check if ChatGPT mentions you are a cron job that asks a few models and counts your name. So he built one and gave it away. Best question is in his own comments, where Yunju Lee asks whether an API call resembles what a real person sees at all.

Studio Displays learn stereo

Nearfield welds two Apple Studio Displays into one stereo pair, with balance, left and right swapping, and per-app routing. Your volume keys keep working.
🔥 Our Take: Apple will sell you two Studio Displays and still treat their speakers as two unrelated objects forever. Vince got fed up and fixed it, and you can tell he uses it daily because your volume keys still work, which these apps normally take off you. Realistically this is for about forty people worldwide, and I'm delighted it exists.
