Printing money
Hi, hi, hi! Can you believe it's Thursday already? Anyway, welcome back to the Leaderboard. In today's edition: CRMs on easy mode, an open-source competitor to Shopify, and an app to track subscriptions and humble brag about MRR on X. Let's dive in.
Easy mode CRM
OpenPhone API: Integrate text message automation, contact syncing and activity logs with your tech stack.
One of the most painful things about keeping my Customer Relationship Management (CRM) updated is taking notes on things that happen outside the CRM and then manually adding things into the CRM when I could be prospecting or making deals. What excites me about OpenPhone is that anything that happens on the platform automatically gets synced with my CRM of choice. Ideally, this means less time doing data entry and more time doing sales.
There's enough pie
Medusa 2.0: An e-commerce solution that can be whipped up in minutes.
First you look at Shopify. Then you remember you know how to write code. You figure someone has probably made an open source project for e commerce โ you find Medusa. You then proceed to spent time setting up your e-commerce site. It isnโt as trivial as you thought and you realize why Shopify is an x billion dollar company. Itโs clear the pie is so large that an open source offering like Medusa can be really successful, and itโs 2.0 launch seems to be smoothing some of the edges that made it tricker for people to adopt. I expect to see them continue to grow in popularity!

Revenue Cat: Monitor your subscription business in real-time with transaction alerts and key metric widgets.
The world of independent makers and tracking tinkerers is growing but up until recently it was hard to track rev growth and sales on your phone. Revenue Cat, thankfully makes this easier from live-streaming your earnings to little widgets for previews. It makes knowing your daily revenue easier (and sharing your MRR on X prettier). Does make you wonder though, why donโt transaction tools come with these integrations natively from the get go?

If your AI product has an onboarding step that says "tell us about your business" โ your users are lying to you. Not maliciously. They just write whatever sounds good in the moment, skip half the fields, and click next.
Brandfetch's Brand Context API gives you structured brand data for 50M+ brands in a single call: voice, mission, positioning, audience, competitors, all of it. Pre-fill your onboarding before the user types a word.
Ground your AI features so they stop hallucinating about the brands your LLM barely knows. It's the scraping pipeline most teams never get around to building, already built. 100 free calls, no credit card.
