Five tools to ship faster in 2024
If you’re a maker, one of your 2024 resolutions might be to launch a product. Maybe it’s an existing one you’ve been working on, or it could be a brilliant idea you had in the shower one day that you’re excited to sink your teeth into.Â
As all makers know, going from idea to shipped is a whole process. Thankfully, there are tools to make it easier. Here are five products to help you ship faster in 2024:Â
Pieces Copilot is like an AI-powered sidekick built for developers. It helps solve some of your more complex coding problems through a contextual understanding of your workflow.Â
Trace AI is a browser app that uses AI to help you build your iOS apps faster. It lets you translate your idea from plain text via prompt into a functioning app built in Swift UI. You can even export it directly to Xcode.Â
Flux is like ChatGPT but for building hardware products. It uses AI and a chat-like interface to help you design circuits and PCBs. It comes with its own chatbot called Flux Copilot that understands your project.Â
Lottielab is a Figma plugin that makes it easier to build and export animations based on your designs. You can export them as Lottie files, GIFs, or even MP4s, and from there, you can import them to your site.
If you’re building an AI app, you’ll probably use APIs. Merlin Unified API does what the title says. It brings APIs from Open AI, Google, and Claude, all under one roof so you can make calls easier.Â
There you have it! Five tools to help you ship faster in 2024. Now you just need the idea. Oh wait, I've got those for you too. Check out these idea generators here and here
Grow your app with Setapp: revenue, users, & AI

You shipped the app. Now comes the part nobody warns you about.
Billing across dozens of countries. Licensing agreements. Tax compliance. Customer support for users you haven't met yet. And if your app does anything with AI, add provider management and infrastructure costs to the pile. None of that is why you started building — but all of it is now your problem.
Setapp is trying to take it off your plate.
You probably know Setapp as the subscription marketplace — one monthly price, hundreds of Mac apps. On May 21st, they turned toward developers. The pitch is simple: list your app, reach users who are already looking, and let Setapp handle the business layer.
