Next-gen spreadsheets get instant dashboards
Not sure if Gen Z and below knows this, but teachers used to tell their students:
“You won’t be able to carry a calculator around in your pocket and just whip it out whenever you need it.”
Before you start raising your fist, know this reference to ancient civilization is not about the importance of math skills. It’s about just how far we’ve come. Calculators in your pocket were the tip of the iceberg.
It’s what I think of when I see the newest launch from Equals, Dashboards.
ICYMI, Equals is a next-gen spreadsheets company and although covered them in more detail before, the demo of Dashboards is worth a look.
The feature lets you instantly turn spreadsheets into dashboards. That’s particularly useful for anyone who needs to work with data a lot but isn’t a pro at visualizations. Like a marketer, for example.
Just point and click, then drag and drop to add cells, tables, and charts, explains cofounder Bobby Pinero. Your finished spreadsheet can be easily turned into Google Slides, emails, or Slack posts. AI can help you write summaries, too.
So, while I’m glad I learned math, that Excel class I took a while back may not be useful to me for much longer.
Grow your app with Setapp: revenue, users, & AI

You shipped the app. Now comes the part nobody warns you about.
Billing across dozens of countries. Licensing agreements. Tax compliance. Customer support for users you haven't met yet. And if your app does anything with AI, add provider management and infrastructure costs to the pile. None of that is why you started building — but all of it is now your problem.
Setapp is trying to take it off your plate.
You probably know Setapp as the subscription marketplace — one monthly price, hundreds of Mac apps. On May 21st, they turned toward developers. The pitch is simple: list your app, reach users who are already looking, and let Setapp handle the business layer.

- ZenDPA creates Data Process Agreements for your business and helps you maintain them automatically.
- Korl takes detailed project data and summarizes your roadmap with presentations optimized for use cases and audiences.
- PriceParrot monitors and analyzes competitors' pricing with insights into market-wide trends.
