GOLDEN KITTY AWARDS 2022
Why the Golden Kitty Awards are more than a statue

Chances are that we aren’t the only ones who’ve hit up your inbox about the Golden Kitty Awards 2022.

Nominees across categories from Fintech to AI have been spreading the news, both thankful to have even become a finalist and hopeful that they’ll grasp a new title — maybe even Product of the Year.

Why do this? What’s the point of the Golden Kitty Awards anyway?

Let’s start with the fact that this is a celebration of the community and all we’ve accomplished together over the last year (and 2022 was no walk in the park).

But what keeps us motivated to make the Golden Kitty Awards better every year isn’t just the party, it’s the progress. The awards validate the ingenuity and execution of great tech products and the labor of their makers. Here are a few of their stories:

From Golden Kitty to $10M raised: The founders of DhiWise may not have degrees from Stanford or MIT, but winning the award for Best Developer Tool of the Year proved to VCs that they had a product worth backing.

The making of the GIPHY keyboard: Winning a Golden Kitty was a memorable moment for the founder of Slash Keyboard. It represented progress for consumer apps outside of Silicon Valley and was a milestone in the app’s acquisition by GIPHY.

Search for anything you need more than once: Product Hunt was instrumental in helping History Search get its first users and product feedback. Now its Ukraine-based team is gearing up to launch its iterated product.

This year’s awards come with new opportunities.
