I think that's a book best read after books like The Black Swan, to also keep a critical eye on the couple of fallacies that the authors probably fell in. I always had the feeling that this book told awesome stories, but needs to be taken with a pinch of salt as those stories are just that (insert comment about correlation vs causation, etc...). In short : read this book, but don't forget to use your critical thinking while at it ;)

At the time this book was published, I was taking an elective in microeconomics. Although my professors gave interesting anecdotes mixed in with the intro level material, it was Freakonomics that made me curious about understanding motivation, incentives, and causality. Now, there are more books, a movie, podcast, and blog.
