Although there are many excellent online multiplayer games available on the market, I have noticed that they often lack a certain "human touch" - the chaos when trying to snatch the phone, the disappointed looks of teammates when they fail to guess the word, and the warmth of everyone huddling together and laughing.

Built a party game because I was tired of the paper-and-pen setup — would love some feedback

Hey everyone, first time posting here go easy on me lol

So I built this thing called Salad Bowl Game (playsaladbowl.com). It's basically the classic party game that some people call Fishbowl or Celebrity, but online so you don't need paper, pens, or any prep work.

The idea came from a pretty mundane place my friends and I kept wanting to play this game at gatherings but nobody ever wanted to be the one to prepare it. You know how it goes: someone has to tear up paper into little strips, everyone has to write down words (and there's always that one person who takes 10 minutes thinking of their words), then you need someone to be the timer/scorekeeper... by the time you actually start playing half the energy is gone.

So I just made a website that handles all that. You open it, everyone adds some words into a shared "bowl" (you can also use an AI word generator if you're feeling lazy), and then you play three rounds with the same words:

When is the right time to launch on Product Hunt?

Because building products has become much more accessible thanks to AI, the bar has had to rise a bit, or at least the expectations have become stricter.

I built my own tool, but personally, I wouldn t launch it on Product Hunt yet because it s still very basic and doesn t even have a website.
