write.cx is a little indie site that gives you your own place to write stuff (you can even add custom scripts and css styling to your site). Your posts can be formatted with markdown and you get to see the view count. Every site gets its own RSS feed too :)

UPDATE: You can now sign up to try out the product and see if it looks like something you'd like to use, and then you only have to pay once you want to make your website accessible :) Hey, this is the first thing I've released and put on Product Hunt in a while. It feels like one of the nicest looking things I think I've made for a long time, and I hope a few people here like it too :) The code...

What do you think of Counter?
Counter, by Alles.A simple, privacy-friendly and versatile visitor counter.
Counter is a free (and it'll always remain free) service that allows you to embed an image into your site, and it shows how many times it has been viewed in the past 24 hours. Counter can be used in websites, emails, or even discord servers. No registration, no api keys, just a simple views counter.

I would strongly advise making the site redirect to https if people try to visit the insecure version.

I just launched today. I think the hardest part is getting the first upvotes to even get it noticed. I've contacted everyone building it with me to ask them to upvote, and I hope it will get easier through the day, as it's currently quite early in the morning for the US.
How can we help with your Product Hunt launch?

I loved your article about Fortnite's marketing. It's given me a lot of inspiration on how I should launch books on my ebook platform I'm developing to generate lots of hype.

You can login with GitHub, Google or Twitter, and manage multiple sites (although while we're in beta, we limit you just to one). We're even building functionality so that multiple people can collaborate on a blog, and if you don't want everyone looking at it, you can set it to private mode so you can only view it in the editor.

I built this product because I wanted something like Medium, but with less platform branding. However, I love the idea of an interconnected community, so I'm working on a voting system for blog posts where the most popular can be seen on a hub page. However, I get that some people like to keep their blog just about them, so we're not going to have any ads or "related posts" sections on your...

I realised that there was a need for this when I was building a markdown-powered blogging system a few months ago. There were other link-shortening services, but there was no simple and free one with a developer-friendly API. The other thing I required was short, memorable urls. That's why we chose to use 3-character alphanumeric ids that were all lowercase.
