I've been coding since I was 11, starting on my ZX Spectrum, which dates me, I guess. I love systems programming: kernels, high-performance computing, embedded systems. Most of my work has been HPC for data analysis, or AI as it's called these days. I also have a strong ideological side. I believe people should control their computers, and that technology must never be used to control people. That conviction led me to found Rool: a full-stack private virtual machine in the cloud, designed for running AI agents. Give it a try!

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Casper, founder of Rool. We're a small team spread across Europe.

Rool is built on one idea: if you hand an AI your real work, that work should live somewhere that's yours.

So every user gets their own Rool Machine, a private Linux computer in the cloud with the AI running inside it. Your files, chats and memory stay there, walled off from everyone else. It remembers last week's work, runs real programs, takes on multi-step tasks, and you can invite your team into the same machine, on web, iPhone and Android.
