I'm building Reddit Pilot, a small Chrome extension for indie makers who want to be part of Reddit but keep running into the same wall.
Here's the pattern I kept seeing. You build something, you go to the subreddit where your users hang out, and your post is gone within minutes. No reply, just a removal by AutoModerator because the account is too new, has too little karma, or hasn't been active in that community. The advice is always "participate first", which is fair. It's just hard to do every day while you're also shipping.
Reddit is where indie makers meet early users, but new or quiet accounts often get filtered before anyone sees them. Reddit Pilot leaves short, helpful comments in subreddits you choose, at a calm randomized pace. It never posts for you.
I read a few hundred reviews of faceless-video tools before building this. The complaints were always the same five: static slideshow visuals, scripts that repeat by video four, credits burned on failed renders, cancel buttons that take sixteen emails, and free trials that aren't. Meanwhile YouTube's 2025 and 2026 "inauthentic content" rules started demonetising exactly the templated output those tools produce.
CookShorts is my answer to that list:
Visuals that match the line. Every scene is generated or chosen for the exact sentence being spoken, then a second model checks it. No Roman emperor when the script says Greek statue.
