Living in Amsterdam, I often found myself at local businesses like restaurants, coffee places, sandwich bars, hairdressers or sports clubs and started noticing a pattern. Many of these businesses are using big platforms to handle key operations like bookings and orders. While that can be useful, it often means giving up control over the customer relationship. These platforms own the data, the communication and the experience. As a customer, I was looking for something more personal and I saw that these companies did too. That’s why I started Authic.
