I've used cloudinary on two projects so far and it is very slick. I think many teams have built their own image services. With cloudinary you can either point it at your S3 bucket or upload images to it (full upload, or pass it a url), then on demand access any image size or transformation you want. Gone are the days of pre-rendering the right image sizes you need

Possible bug - I turned of the snowball tab (found it distracting), but it comes back if my screen locks and I unlock it.
