I’m an indie dev and a trilingual language learner. Even after years of fluency, I still hit a wall in certain situations: I can communicate just fine, but I often rely on the same "safe" words. I hear many new, nuanced expressions every day that I want to use, but without a home for them, they just disappear. I built Vokabulo because most apps focus on the "first 1,000 words" (the house/dog/apple phase). They’re great for starting, but they are not made for people who want to go further. I wanted a simple space to move from being functional to being expressive. Vokabulo is for those of us who want to stop sounding "translated" and start sounding more like ourselves with all the nuance, precision, and personality we have in our native tongue.
