VS Code
I switched from Atom to VS Code and have never regretted it. Now I use this editor for all my projects. I especially like the extensions, which are very easy to install. VS Code is for people who want to code as productively as possible and value a simple, clean interface and good performance.

Linode
Linode was one of the first providers I used for my VPS. The prices have always been good, the performance is excellent even for the small VPSs and the network performance has never disappointed me. Linode was one of the first providers to move to KVM virtualization to give their users maximum performance while making efficient use of hardware resources and being environmentally friendly. I have been with Linode for over 10 years and see no reason to use any other provider.
Matomo Analytics
Based in Germany, I needed a privacy-respecting analytics tool that I could install on my own server. I tested some free analytics tools and stuck with Matomo. Its interface is clean, you get all important data on one view, you can manage multiple websites with one installation. Something I don't like about Matomo is that they intentionally keep some features out of the core, put them in a module and then sell it to you – overpriced as I would say. Those looking for the best alternative to Google Analytics will find nothing better than Matomo.
