I always knew what to say. I just couldn't say it when it counted
I've always struggled with social anxiety.
Not the kind that stops you from leaving the house the quieter kind. Where you know exactly what you want to say, but the moment it matters, something freezes. You over-apologise. You backpedal. You walk away replaying everything you should have said.
I started building Smooth Operator as a way to practice. But the more I shared it, the more I realised how many high-stakes moments this actually covers:
Asking for what you deserve in a salary negotiation, instead of just accepting the first number
Shooting your shot with someone you're interested in, without the anxiety hijacking everything
Setting a boundary with someone who always makes it difficult and actually holding it
Closing a sale without coming across as pushy or desperate
