my mac app didn't open at all for 4 months and i had no idea

there's no changelog for PopTask anywhere, the app store "what's new" box is read by roughly nobody, so from now on every update lands in this thread, small ones as replies, bigger ones as their own post

what's shipped since july:

How often do you (re)launch on Product Hunt? + Taking care of your Product Hunt product page

After being on Product Hunt for almost 4 years, I ve realised one thing.

The vast majority of people launch their product once, and that s it.

It gives me a slight feeling that the product might stop existing a few months later.

On the other hand, makers who repeatedly launch major updates give me the impression that they re serious about their product s direction.
I d probably feel much more comfortable paying for a lifetime deal from them because the product is likely to still be around months from now.

New feature launch: Scribe our onsite writing agent

If you caught the Conversation Radar post, you know the premise: AI engines cite people talking about brands, so we built a radar for those conversations.

But there's a second half to AI visibility, and it's the one brands keep asking us about: the content you publish yourself.

Here's the honest version. Owned content works harder to earn a citation than third-party content does. We've tracked 13,000+ citations across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, and Claude, and brand articles DO show up in that set. The ones that do share a shape: they answer one specific query head-on, they carry real facts, and they cover the query from multiple angles, not one post.
