How do you lock your messaging before a launch?

Messaging is always the thing that trips us up before a launch. even when you are about to go live you are still 50/50 on whether it will land. Then deadline hits, it ends up being gut, you take it live and spray and pray. how do you guys actually validate it and get some confidence? happy to learn whatever works for you.

We pay half of every Pro payment to whoever sent the customer

Half of what a Lispr Pro customer pays us can go to the person who invited them. That covers the first payment and every renewal, for as long as they keep paying.

We set it at 50% because of cost. An ad charges us before anyone installs Lispr. A commission costs us nothing until a customer has paid. We d rather pay people who already use Lispr and tell others about it.

Do you trust upvotes when picking a new tool to try?

I discover a lot of tools through Product Hunt, and the upvote count is usually the first thing I look at. But it doesn t always match how useful a tool turns out to be for me.

Last month I signed up for a #1 product of the day because of its huge upvote count. I used it twice and forgot about it. A few weeks earlier I had tried a small launch with barely 50 upvotes, a simple tool for organizing browser tabs, and I still use it every single day.

It made me wonder if I give upvotes too much weight. Maybe the comments and the maker s replies say more about quality than the ranking does.

When you decide what to try, what do you look at first: upvotes, comments, the demo, or something else? Has a low-ranked launch ever surprised you?
