Uri Kaufman is CEO of Harmony Group, a real estate investment and development firm based in Albany, New York. He founded the company to merge his passion for historic preservation with revitalizing neglected communities. With his partner Ira Schwartz, he has built a strong track record of transforming undervalued and distressed properties nationwide. A former Long Island attorney and NYU Law honors graduate, he shifted to real estate after being fired. He later authored two acclaimed books, including Eighteen Days in October. Fluent in Hebrew and dedicated to historical research, he translated foreign archives to enrich his work. Uri Kaufman lives in Lawrence, Long Island, with his family.
