Hi, I'm a budding content creator building my YouTube channel over the past few months. I’ve used various text-to-video tools, but I was really looking for a platform that could handle everything in one place—story generation, trimming, adding music, SFX, voiceover, and so on. I came across Reelmind.ai, which was recommended as an all-in-one tool, and the 90% discount made it seem like a great deal. I subscribed to the MAX package and received around 2,800 credits.
After spending the last five hours trying to create a simple 15-second horror short, I’m honestly quite disappointed. First, there are no tutorials, guides, or onboarding support anywhere. As someone still learning the process, this was a huge red flag. I didn’t know that only one scene can be generated at a time and that each scene costs around 180–200 credits and takes 20+ minutes to render. I made three short scenes and was unimpressed with the results.
I had assumed the platform would generate a full video with voice, music, and SFX using AI, but that wasn’t the case. I created voiceovers and sourced sound effects, but had no idea how to add them to my scenes. Again—no help or guidance. Eventually, I found the “Video Fusion” section, uploaded the scenes, and entered everything into the trigger prompt. The desktop UI was clunky, model selection didn’t function, and I still had no clear idea of what I was doing. That was 90 minutes ago and COUNTING, and the video is still pending.
The most frustrating part is that the fusion process cost me 2,000 credits. After creating just three scenes and trying one fusion, I’m left with 150 credits—no video, and no clear direction.
It honestly feels like this platform isn’t ready for creators, especially new ones. While I appreciate the effort the team has put in, the lack of support, poor UX, and high credit cost makes this feel like a waste of time. If I’d paid full price, I’d be very upset.
Thanks.
