For some reason nobody posts low brow entertainment to Medium and so I wanted to give it a try. These are a few daily posts of "funny" memes collected from around the web. It requires a Medium subscription, but that means you won't have any ads.

This was a collaboration between Medium and The Prags and I'm the "maker" who helped with the book conversion. I'm happy to see all these books get more reach. Also, importantly, I think this demonstrates the promise of Medium's subscription model. As they get more subscribers they invest more in the value of their subscription. Does anyone have questions about the Prags or what it's like to...

I love the idea of getting as far away from "how I felt when I talked tot he candidate" and as close as possible to "this is what the candidate's work product looks like." Overall, I could see an straight line path for Headlight to revolutionize my business by helping me find 10x hires consistently. Pros: Takes a best practice and makes it simple for me to follow. Cons: I'm hoping for examples...

Just want to chime in to say how excited I am for launch. Mindfulness needs a champion to teach people that are involved in high performance (sports, business, etc). There's a ton that you can teach to athletes and as another commenter said, this is an area that's severely undertrained.

I think the two product hunt angles here are: 1. Self-publishing. We wrote this in Word, designed it in Indesign, published through CreateSpace and mostly intend to sell directly to our community. 2. The role of meetings in product design. A lot of the tactics in this book come from designers. I used to think designers were a particular form of genius. Then I got a tour of IDEO and realized how...

I realized how broken executive coaching is when an investor suggested to me that I should try it. I'd already been a CEO for years and it seemed like the executive coach's job was to fix all the things I continued to do wrong. I wish I'd had someone grooming for leadership early. That's what we're shooting for with this program--make top business coaching affordable enough that you could get...

This reminds me a lot of the old .plan feature of Unix and VAX systems pre-web. It was just a text file with a single status update (of any length) and you could check your friends status if you knew their username. A lot of places, including my college, turned it into a really obsessively social experience. This is like the mobile/visual version of that. Who cares what my status was last week....

Hey, this was so fun to do. The old name, Lift, was great. But it also got problematic. We couldn't convince people that we were more than a habit tracker. Also we got a lot of weird support email from three other Lifts. Losing those is a nice added bonus. But mostly, this is an awesome name for us and what we do now. Check out the profile pages for coaches. Here's mine: http://coach.me/tony

You have to be a Unix nerd to enjoy these. There used to be a unix utility called fortune that would print out a quote or bit of interesting text when you logged in (if you had it in your .bashrc or whatever). That utility was fed by user submitted fortune files. So I took all those fortune files from various Linux distributions and put an API on top of them. Try this from an OSX shell: curl...

Here's what I've wanted to do: AlarmRabbit. If you don't prove that you're out of bed and awake, a TaskRabbit is dispatched to your house to ring your doorbell and yell at you through your windows with a bullhorn. I think this would work.
