About

Software architect by day, poet by early morning. I work on AI tooling and MCP, but my path started in literature—got distracted by the internet, ended up with a master's in engineering instead. I've been building iOS apps since 2010. My latest, Vibrant Frog Collab, scratches my own itch: bridging handwritten morning pages to digital publishing with AI as a collaborator, not a replacement. Also into nature photography, mountain biking, sailing, and chasing waves.

Vibrant Frog Collab – AI writing assistant for pen-and-paper writers (looking for feedback)

I built an iOS app to solve my own problem: I write by hand every morning at 7am, but the workflow to transform those pages into something shareable was painful photograph, transcribe, edit, pair with images, format. Each step a context switch.

Vibrant Frog Collab brings AI into the creative workflow with a specific philosophy: AI enhances, doesn't replace. The app has guardrails that can't be overridden it won't generate content from scratch, only help develop what you've already written.

What it does now:

  • Scan handwritten pages instant transcription

  • AI collaborative editing with memory across conversations

  • Quote image creation (text overlaid on photos)

  • BYOK: Claude, GPT-4 (API keys) or Gemini (Google OAuth)

  • $9.99 one-time / free tier available

Hey Product Hunt 👋

I'm Tony software architect by day, poet by early morning.

I've been building iOS apps since 2010 (started with a Chromecast app back when that was a thing), but I've never been good at the marketing side. I have a tilt maze game in the App Store right now that maybe 12 people know about. I'd like to change that pattern.

My day job is in AI tooling and MCP (Model Context Protocol), but my path here was non-linear: I started in college focused on literature and writing, got distracted learning to build websites to publish my own work, and somehow ended up with a master's in computer science instead.

Last August I finally started writing again by hand, every morning at 7am. That daily practice led me to build my latest app, which scratches my own itch: bridging handwritten pages to digital publishing using AI as a collaborator (not a replacement).

Anyone using AI as a second brain for content creation?

Hey everyone, I ve been playing around with different ways to keep my ideas, research, and drafts in check, but it still feels like I m drowning in research. :P

I ve tried traditional note-taking apps, but they re not flexible. And mind maps? They start out fine but turn into a mess as it gets complex with more data.
