The founder/startup/vc paradigm has a 90%+ failure rate. Why is that? It's complex, a three-body problem of founder, community, and capital formation. More founder resources: venture hackers, nfx, TWIST-- the more founders have their eyes opened to the asymmetric upside of building a tech startup. More founders, more ill-suited founders who punk out and give up-- startups aren't actually that...

To validate your startup idea, i.e determine whether it's worth expending your precious and scarce Founder Energy on, answer these four essential questions: Is it pitch-worthy? Is it join-worthy? Is it earn-worthy? Is it prepay-worthy? A startup is a machine that turns Founder Energy into Cashflow from the sale of a tech-powered solution. The goal in validating a startup idea is to find out...

A startup that expresses your unique soul-- your combination of virtues, values, life experience, and ambitions is the most effective and efficient path to wealth and satisfaction in a world of infinite leverage (code, content, crypto). To not build a startup that solves a problem you care about for a community you care about is a huge missed opportunity.

I've built many startups, some of which have achieved hypergrowth like Uphold, Airtm, and Cadoo. I wish I'd built an incentivized community of collaborators with skin in the game prior to building an MVP on all of them. Community is the platform for your Network. The two M's in community stand for memes and money. That's why I built Slyk-- to make it easy for any project, startup, founder, or...

Great job @jfalcon. Feature request-- I'd love to see a way for clients to propose a project and then have the Freemancers provide a quote. Freelancer platforms provide discovery for talent but take a big cut of the earnings. Freemance is a way for independent freelancers to build the products and services they need to thrive. It's been amazing watching this project evolve and grow. Congrats!

The best way to prepare for a fundraise is to create a community who are aligned with. your success and reward them for helping you grow the way you want to grow. VCs want to derisk their bets based on traction. Traction comes from knowing the problem you are solving, knowing the users you are solving for, and creating a community of believers, collaborators, and and early adopters who can help...

Raising money for a startup is like birthing a pineapple, so congrats on the launch @daniel_rongo and team. First time founders need guidance. Repeat founders need intros. Funden does both and if the quality on the former is good and the networking enabled by the latter is too, then shazam-- that's literally hundreds of hours of founder time and tears that can be saved for every startup looking...

Solid work @kronop. Founders need to bootstrap and this looks like a great collection of free-to-start tools. I'd love to include https://slyk.io/ in the list. Having built a bunch of digital products that have achieved the holy grail of hypergrowth (not to mention many that have not and have gone nowhere), I've come to see the most important first for founders is to build community, which...

The foundation of my flow state is a decent night's sleep. Then wake up and get the dopamine flowing with cold shower and some push-ups. Mediate for ten minutes-- more would be better, but who has the time? Then another set of push-ups or curls or pull-ups. Now it's time to bang the keyboard. Music-- no words, just vibes, usually off of youtube-- focus music or chill beats or lofi-- this...

This is where I'm gonna go when I need to flow, which is always. Thanks and congrats. All that's missing is a coin to reward people for committing to flow and helping you grow. The more you flow, the more you grow-- right? HMU to collaborate-- I have so many ideas for you guys.

@edward_sturm congrats on building something that is a very important counter-force to all the temptations in our lives. You might want to check out Cadoo which I built with @colm_hayden. We've wrestled with a lot of the verification issues to avoid cheaters-- proof of work-out-- and currently integrate with Terra and https://www.getguru.fitness/. Once you nail the proof of workout to avoid...

Very useful collection. Thanks for putting in the time and effort to document your learning curve. Founders often flounder in the journey from idea to mvp to growth. It's so important to build a foundation of community and then build on top of that until you hit hypergrowth with PMF.

@max_cane Congrats on the launch of a useful product. Every product that launches on PH needs to think about growth before they launch. And it all starts with a community. What is a community? It's a collection of individuals bound together by two things-- memes & money. In the case of animals like bees or ants-- its more about pheromones and resources, but we are human and we deal in memes and...

Congrats on the launch of Supapass and I enjoyed this article and your passion for creators. I think the one point you are missing regarding the ability of creators to monetize their creative output is network effects. How can you add these to Supapass such that every creator has a way to make every fan add value to the creator's network of fans? Imagine for example that every time you listened...

Congrats on this product launch and I really love that you have gathered all of this accelerator info into one place. And I like how the product fits into Angel Match 2.0 (better called VCMatch). Your platform gives me a lot of ideas for a coin-powered community (CPC) that you could build on top of your database that would reward founders for contributing to the AM community-- I'll mention a...

Congrats on launch. Have you considered tokenizing the potential of your project-- i.e. creating a coin as a reward asset-- and then rewarding everyone who helps you grow? Let's say your growth priorities are X, Y, Z and you reward anyone who helps you achieve them with A, B, C quantity of Peer Coin or List Coin or Peerlist Coin. Then you can redeem those coins for anything from merch to web3...

Congrats on the launch! “Never, ever, think about something else when you should be thinking about the power of incentives.” Charlie Munger (Berkshire Hathaway). Munger is so very wrong about Bitcoin, but so very correct about the power of incentives to shape human behavior. Indeed much of the excitement about web3 is due to its incentives-- that users can be rewarded for participating in play...

Product management is like leading a marching band through a traffic jam in a warzone while trying to apply sunscreen to a bunch of toddlers. I'm a fan of anything that makes that easier. Congrats on the launch. Question-- why not share the upside of what you're building with your believers, early adopters, users via a play-to-earn coin-powered community? So many products on PH just drop to the...

Congrats on launch. I'm a firm believer that online learning is poised for a giant leap forward to transform education. Tools like this are a key part of coiling the spring for that leap. Another key piece is attaching incentives to learning like Cadoo (a startup I co-founded) does for fitness. If anyone is interested in collaborating on a Cadoo for learning, I'd love to chat with you.
