What's great
ValueSpot has increased my information coverage by 10 times and my reading speed by 10 times.
It sends the news I care about directly to my work IM software, which saves me from constantly having to read various news apps and websites. And the AI recommendation provided by ValueSpot is very smart in helping me filter out junk information, clickbait.
vs Alternatives
They're all good products, but none of them did what I needed.
NBot and Syft are close to what I wanted, but NBot only sends notifications inside its own app, and Syft only works on mobile. I needed updates in Slack where my team already works.
Follow is a great RSS reader, but it's still a reader. I don't want to open another app and scroll through a feed. I want updates to come to me.
Tailor and Nuse are more like AI news apps. They pick what to show you. I wanted to choose my own sources and write my own filtering rules.
SignalHub is the only one that lets me do all three: pick my exact sources, set my own AI filter, and get notifications in 10+ channels including Slack, Discord, and Telegram.
