From all the auth providers I've tried Clerk is simply the best. No one should roll up their own authentication solution, maintaining one is pain. Having system that just works makes things so much easier. In addition the ready made components are super nice.

Paddle handles everything related to payment infrastructure. We dont need to think about payment gateways, taxes or currencies. We only have to integrate their SDK into our app. Bonus points for their data model being flexible when it comes to defining/managing products and prices.

We wanted to build application that has single tenant databases for each organization. Turso handles that super nicely. In addition the ability to have embedded replicas is killer feature for building local RAG.

Tauri is amazing for writing cross platform desktop applications. Being able to leverage web technologies for building the GUI makes it quick to build nice looking apps and then use rust for doing the heavy lifting. Electron could have been another alternative, but the rust part made us choose Tauri.
