I love video games; especially the battle royale genre. As a designer who casually spends thousands of hours on virtual gaming environments (lobbies), I’m led to believe that replicating and properly executing the reward system seen in the gaming industry could potentially affect not just the consumer retention of digital products, but also, the way people experience and use them. We can both agree that a lot of digital products are pretty boring; also, it takes more than just a beautiful interface to make people love and “keep” using your product.
