Journey of getting first 100 Users
I am active on linkedin for more than 1 year now
For the first 8 months, I posted on LinkedIn every day. Got almost nothing.
Then I figured out something simple: my ideal customers were already commenting on my competitors' posts.
These people were:
- Already interested in the topic
- Active and engaged
- Way warmer than any cold list
So I started reaching out to them. Booked my first call. Then my 10th. Then my 100th.
In total, 150 calls booked. 10 became paying clients.
The strategy worked perfectly. But the execution sucked.
I was spending 3-4 hours every week:
- Finding competitor posts
- Manually copying commenter names
- Looking up each profile
- Pasting everything into Google Sheets
- Adding notes on why they're a good fit
It worked. But I wanted to die.
So I built a tool that does the boring part for me. Just pulls the leads automatically and saves them somewhere simple.
Posted about it on Reddit. 41 people signed up immediately.
Because everyone else was also drowning in manual work.
Turned it into a proper platform. Lead sourcing + simple CRM. Just what solopreneurs actually need.
Still improving it every week. Users keep telling me what they need and I just build it.
Sometimes the best products come from doing something manually until you can't stand it anymore.
Thats how i got my first 100 users and now will be launching on ProductHunt
