I have more than 15 years of experience managing communications for disasters of all shapes and sizes. Some of the crisis situations I’ve worked with: - data breaches - nuclear events - winter storms, historic wildfires, hurricanes - corporate scandals, workforce reductions - active shooter events, employee fatalities (I’m so tired, y’all.) During that time, I’ve learned a lot about communication and people. I’ve seen the power of applying the skills I’ve learned in these disasters to crazy social situations like nosy neighbors or warring family members.
