I'm Sophie, the maker behind Synopedia, a free synonyms and antonyms dictionary in English, French, Spanish, Italian, German and Catalan. I've always loved words: finding the exact one, the one with the right shade of meaning, or its perfect opposite. Synopedia started from a simple frustration with thesaurus sites that dump every meaning into one long list. So I built one that groups synonyms by sense, adds antonyms, definitions and examples, and links each word across six languages. Everything is built on open linguistic data. I'm based in France and always happy to chat about words, languages and side projects.
