It makes sure that everything I want to confirm on the call gets communicated clearly. Since I can type the instructions in advance, I don’t have to worry about forgetting anything, even when there are a lot of details. It also lets me make phone calls in noisy environments or in situations where I can’t speak out loud. Even if I don’t know the other person’s language, I can still make the call. And simply put, when I just don’t feel like calling myself, it can do it for me.
