About

Michael’s projects include Kenny Barron’s Grammy-nominated album “Spirit Song” and the recording of Philip Glass’s “Music for Changing Parts” with the Salt Lake Electronic Ensemble, released on Orange Mountain Music. In dance, he has collaborated with Flockworks, Pilobolus, Shen Wei, the José Limón Company, Bebe Miller, and many more. Michael taught music and sound design at The Ohio State University and the University of Utah, where he also served as Program Head in Modern Dance. He co-founded the music distribution company A Simple Sound in 2004 and founded Sound for Movement in 2013. Through Sound for Movement, he composes, distributes, and licenses music and provides educational resources for dancers, choreographers, and teachers.
