Just preordered. I sincerely admire Paul’s ability to focus his business around what matters to him, and I think more of us should look at business that way. 👍👍

Paul and Danny proved their commitment to privacy by open sourcing the entire app so you can see exactly how it works and what data is stored. What other analytics service would do this? None. If you care about privacy, this is the only real option.

Evaluating product ideas is hard! And it's something you often do totally alone. When you fall in love with an idea, it's so tempting to skip the important stuff you should do to evaluate it. With the checklist, it's like I have Justin always tapping me on the shoulder "Did you define your audience?" "Is this a business you want to work on a year from now?" I wish I'd had this years ago. I also...

I wish I'd had this podcast when I built my first product (a SaaS). Most of the stories we hear about business are success stories, but no one talks about the early days of building a product—or if they do, it's always a highly edited version. New makers and founders need to hear stories about what it's really like building a business. Sometimes it's hard, but that makes even small successes...

Hey there, hunters! Proximity School is my show, and here's the story of how this project started. But first, I just set up a discount just for ProductHunt. If you are interested in the design course, TheorySprints, get $25 off with this code: "ProductHunt25". (The design pattern library is totally free, though.) In the years since writing my ebook Bootstrapping Design, I was surprised to find...

I bought the ebook version via Kickstarter. I was extremely satisfied with the book, and fascinated to learn more about Tracy's perspective on design. An excellent read. Pros: One of the best design books I've read (and I say that having written a few myself!) Cons: None. Really!

Having designed online courses and worked with a couple of online training companies, I've seen how challenging and time-consuming it can be to interact with students. Instructors either tend to go too far and are practically on call all the time, or don't interact with students enough because of the significant time drain. ofCourseBooks solves a big pain here because it provides a simple and...

I absolutely loved Marketing for Developers. Justin does a great job of walking the line between explaining marketing basics and helping you actually implement the strategies.

Hey hunters! I made this. "My Designer Is Driving Me Crazy" is a video series and course about collaborating with designers. It's the next step after the free courses I shared on ProductHunt earlier this year: https://www.producthunt.com/tech/the-tiny-designer The goal is tackle all of those infamous conflicts that happen during design projects. Developers vs Designers. Designers vs Clients....

I'm the founder. Thanks @mijustin for posting! Excited to share this with hunters. A bit more background: we've all been part of design projects that go south. People get frustrated and argue over minor things like "make the logo bigger". There are 2 sides to that. Designers need to learn to advocate for their work; to be teachers and prove the value of working with them. Non-designers need to...

I love Codekit *so* much. I'm a designer first, and this makes coding so much easier. Compiling code and refreshing the browser window without having to mess with the command line. Sounds minor, but when I'm, say, tweaking some color variables in .Less files, it's so much faster. Really simplifies my design process.

Love this so much. I was recently experimenting with triggering shopping cart abandonment emails containing a simple poll. However it could only work for existing newsletter subscribers—not everyone like this service would. Also, really compelling way to drive newsletter signups with the email form at the end of the survey. Signed up for the waiting list!

I have learned so much from @pjrvs 's newsletter about freelancing. But he's also one of the best writers in this community. A constant source of inspiration. His candor and passion are immensely refreshing when stacked up against the usual linkbait. You should definitely subscribe.

I was a guest as well, and Justin is one of the most skilled interviewers I've met. He has a knack for keeping the show interesting and useful. Have learned a ton as a listener.
