I'm a product leader and software engineer based in Perth, Western Australia. I've spent 30 years building software, with the last decade working at the intersection of technology and people strategy in the SME space. At Kanso, I'm working on a product to help people uncover their trade-offs in their roles. It comes down to what people rate as non-negotiable vs what they rate as something they could compromise on. When you do some analysis on those chouces, you get can some pretty deep insights into what drives a person. I'm the founder, marketer, developer and tester, which is a great way to force myself to learn new skills and technologies I wouldn't normally have to when you have a supporting network around you.

Most career tools tell you who you are. Kanso shows you what you'd trade. Answer 20 questions across culture, professional fit, personal life, and compensation. The hard part is that you're given a fixed budget of credits across these questions, so you can't mark everything as critical. That constraint is the point. At the end you get a trade-off profile, your non-negotiables, plus an AI coach trained on your specific results.
