I agree with the overload of information issue, but I do think there is room for a dominant early-entry-centric pub. I'm always interested in what new companies are popping up, but who would you say is your target consumer? Investors? General startup enthusiasts? Eventually you will sell advertising- who do you expect them to be advertising to?

Take it from me- YOU WANT THOSE EMAIL ADDRESSES. Collect as many as you can- there's no greater marketing tool than someone's inbox. But I'm confused why you ask for the email again if the user gives their email to access the app. I can't be sure this is how it works because it's been about 4min and the app hasn't loaded yet.
