I always thought having a cheap entry level plan was necessary to catch hesitant buyers. But after struggling with flat sales despite copy rewrites removing that budget option was what finally worked for us.

Instead of boosting signups the cheapest tier was just acting as a safety net that kept users from choosing the product version that provided real value.

Curious if other founders have experienced this did removing your cheapest option helps or hurt your overall revenue?

I recently saw a reel where a girl was recording a Skill with Claude to find newly posted real-estate apartments every day.

She had specific filters - location, price, etc. and Claude would go through the new listings, find the ones that matched, collect all the relevant information, and create a spreadsheet with the results every day.

I have build close 2-3 applications till now, none succeeded. But, while starting building or even starting to market, I never thought of making it big enough. It is simply because I was working on small problems and creating small solutions for it and to be honest, never wanted to raise investments.

But, in the startup and saas scenario, there are companies and saas with minimal idea have taken investments. For me, investments are a way with which you come under pressure of increasing your numbes faster. While indie saas owners can benefit all the profits themselves while never have to be under pressure when app or startup is down etc.

What do you think? Raising investment is a good choice for founders or when is investment needed?
