Building StackFit for Shopify stores

About

I’m Matt, a digital marketer and ecommerce specialist based in Nottingham, UK. I’ve spent my career helping businesses make better decisions about acquisition, technology and growth. I’m building StackFit Commerce to make Shopify app selection less confusing, less biased and more commercially useful. The aim is simple: help merchants understand what they need now, what can wait and how to put the right tools into practice. Interested in ecommerce, paid media, CRO, product building and honest conversations about what actually drives growth.

What makes a Shopify app worth adding?

One question kept coming up while I was building StackFit: where should a merchant draw the line between a genuinely useful Shopify app and another subscription, dashboard and implementation job?

When you assess an app, what matters most?

  • Revenue opportunity

  • Time saved

  • Integration quality

  • Setup and maintenance work

  • Cost as the store grows

  • Something else entirely

I m particularly interested in apps that looked promising but were installed too early, or tools you later removed because they duplicated something already in the stack.

StackFit Commerce - Independent Shopify app recommendations for your store

Shopify stores often end up with overlapping apps, rising costs and tools bought too early. StackFit turns a short assessment into a prioritised app stack based on the store’s stage, goals and current setup. The free result explains what to install now, add next, replace and avoid for the moment. Recommendations are based on commercial fit, cost, integrations and implementation burden - never affiliate commission. An optional £19 blueprint adds step-by-step guidance and a 30/60/90-day plan.
